Stockland Merrylands Carpark

Construction of 5 Level concrete carpark. This multi-level car park adjoining the shopping centre sits on 26,000sqm of prime retail land and will be directly linked to two customer shopping entry points. The remaining levels will be accessed via two lifts to aid pedestrian traffic flow.

Challenges

Very limited access. Working adjacent Merrylands Retail building site – 2 building sites within one development.

Any specific OH & S or environmental issues

Portions of the excavation will be within an old tip site – environmental management.

Progress

Work on the second and third stages of the new multi-level car park are complete, with handover due in late June. The first stage of the new parking facility was completed last year and has been in use by shoppers for the past eight months.
