Project Challenges |
The Australain Museum presents many challenges during this stage of construction initially the building is heritage listed and requires a lot of care to ensure that the building maintains its current status. Reed have also had the added challenge to work around the public who visit the Museum to the ever changing exhibitions that are held in various parts of the building. One element of the interior refurbishment of the Australian Museum which may prove challenging will be the high level structural steel works for a above ground walkway platform for allow for access to lights and ceiling exhaust fans. |
Is Reed Doing Anything Specific To Meet Client's Needs? |
Installation of a translucent film barrisol ceiling effect that will enable to Museum to vary the degree of lighting and add effects to exhibitions as required. Reeds have also mocked up one panel of the heritage ceiling at present to ensure correct colour and to maintain and preserve the exiting conditions of the Museum. |
