Progress |
Work has been completed on the Raw Coal Conveyor and Sizing Station, the Coal Preparation Plant and Tailings Thickener. The Train Load Out system and Conveyor are now 70% complete with the Product Conveyor and Co-Disposal facility 80% complete. The Area 10 Run of Mine (ROM) footings and base slab have also been completed and the attendant standing structure erected. The retaining wall has been completed with the dump slab concrete works resting on the retaining wall in the early stages of construction. Completion of these works is expected in late June. |

Construction of major concrete and earth works, which include 5 different areas: ROM handling, raw coal handling, coal preparation plant, product and rejects handling, and train loading station. |
Project Challenges |
Remote location, 10 on 4 off roster and hot weather have been challenging. In addition, delayed access to some construction areas as well as the impact of wet weather have delayed progress. |
Is Reed Doing Anything Specific To Meet Client's Needs? |
The Reed Group is ensuring that all staff and sub-contractors have completed the relevant coal industry induction and passed a coal board medical. In addition, all Reed staff are breathalysed before commencing work and a random drug testing regime has been put in place on site. |
