Prince of Wales Private Hospital Theatre Redevelopment (Stage 1 and 2)

Stage 1 involves the construction of new offices, reception, tea room and recovery areas. The works involved in Stage 2 are construction of two new operating theatres, scrub rooms anaesthetics bays, staff station, 17 bed recovery bay CSSD upgrade and new change rooms.

Staged project working within a fully functioning hospital environment including working close to operating theatres and managing patient flows.

Clients Specific Needs

Detailed review with the client on patient flows to allow seamless installation of temporary hoardings and early involvement with the designers to achieve cost savings to offset variation costs. To minimise noise and vibration concerns, drilling into the concrete slabs changed from percussion drilling to core drilling to allow installation of structural steel components. Early identification of services shut downs to limit the impact on the hospital.
