Evans Head Sewer Treatment Plant

The augmentation of the existing Evans Head STP is based on the replacement of the existing plant with two new IDEA tanks, sludge storage tanks, inlet works, pumping stations, chemical dosing facilities, amenities and electrical buildings. Associated roadworks and landscaping is also to be carried out. The existing plant is to be decommissioned and demolished once the new plant is operational.

Environmental management and building structures in an area of high groundwater. Working alongside the Broadwater National Park and an existing natural wetland system.

Progress

The new treatment plant is fully operational following its official opening on August 18.
