Bowral Sewerage Treatment Plant

The project involves augmentation of the existing sewage treatment plant which is a combination of a conventional type trickling filter plant plus an activated sludge plant consisting of two Pasveer channels. The upgrade works includes removal and disposal of contaminated wastes (sludge and screenings), construction of four drying beds, four pump stations, inlet works with screening and flow measurement, 3.7ML aeration tank (IDEAT), 17ML storm detention pond, 7.8ML catch balance pond, tertiary filters (cloth media system), UV disinfection system, connecting pipeworks and 1.8km of effluent discharge main.
