Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
To participate successfully with Indigenous groups, Reed Mining & Energy identified the benefit of being able to provide training and apprenticeships opportunities for local Indigenous people internally. This commitment led to a joint venture with IS Australia.
IS Australia is a registered training organisation (RTO) based in Darwin with a successful track record in providing training programs in the construction industry and is accredited for over 80 competencies. With specific expertise in training people in remote communities, IS Australia introduced the worlds first 'mobile campus', enabling the program to meet the needs of communities who are otherwise cut-off.
This partnership has commenced operations in Queensland as IS Australia (Queensland) P/L, and provides training to Reed personnel, Indigenous groups, external providers in the sector and individuals requiring skills upgrade or change.
Operations in Western Australia will commence shortly, with expansion to NSW and Victoria planned over the next three years.
